With over 16 years in the beauty industry Victoria believes that hygiene is paramount. The salon cleanliness, equipment sterilisation and the health of her clients are one of her main concerns. Going above and beyond what is required and expected. Everything is done to the standard Victoria would expect if she was to walk into a salon for a treatment herself.
- No treatment will ever be undertaken with any form of nail polish on the therapist’s hands. This is a very basic, vital and essential procedure. The therapist hands will be clean, with short tidy and polish free, gel free and extension free nails.
- One of the only salons in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire to use the BELAVA disposable pedicure bowls and liners. Belava is a USA manufacturer of professional pedicure products with emphasis on salon sanitation. Each client has a new pedicure bowl liner and it is discarded after every treatment.
- All nail files, orange sticks and foot files are binned after every treatment.
- All metal instruments are cleaned, soaked in a bespoke medical grade product and then steam disinfected to 250f.
- For manicure and pedicure equipment, bespoke medical grade cleaning products are used. The range is effective against fungi, viruses, spores and bacteria, including MRSA, E-Coli and C-Dif.
- All metal instruments (nail & cuticle clippers, tweezers and scissors) are sterilised in a machine that will heat them to 250f. This will kill all bacteria, viruses and fungus. The main aim is to prevent the spread of Tinea Unguium (onychomycosis), which is one of the most common and hard to treat fungus infection found in toe nails and is highly infectious if the hygiene and practices of a salon are poor.
- Clients do have the option to buy or bring their own clippers if they prefer.
- Facial clothes are washed on a very hot wash with detergent and a mild disinfectant. The hot steam cabinet has a UV light to help keep the towels sanitised. Each Facial uses at least 4 fresh clothes per client.
- Every client has soft fresh clean towels, which have been washed on a hot wash and with a mild disinfectant added.
- Hands and surfaces are washed and cleaned with the appropriate hospital grade disinfectant before and after each treatment.
